The ace badminton player, P.V. Sindhu has already created history by entering the finals of the Women’s Singles at the Rio Olympics 2016 and now she became the first ever Indian women to win the silver medal in Rio Olympic 2016 Women’s Singles Badminton event. Sindhu competed against Carolina Marin of Spain but lost 21-19 12-21 21-15 in the summit clash of the women’s singles competition at the Rio Games.

Sindhu participated in the 5th Servo All India ranking championship for under 10 categories. She stood 5th in this championship and received recognition at the national level.

P.V. has won the Ambuja Cement All India ranking .She won the singles title this championship.
9. She Has Received The Padma Shri.
P.V. Sindhu was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2015. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian award of India. She was awarded Padma Shri for her excellence in the badminton sports.
