Complete or Incomplete? Thailand’s Tallest Skyscraper ‘MahaNakhon’ is Befuddling

Thailand’s new tallest skyscraper called the ‘MahaNakhon’ has been opened recently. Situated in Bangkok’s Silom/Sathon central business area, the building is 314 meters tall.
MahaNakhon is taller than the ‘Eiffel Tower’ and has also become Thailand’s new tallest building. But it’s not the building’s height which is attracting more eyeballs, but it’s the unique pixelated design of the skyscraper which is turning heads.

Designed by the international architecture firm, ‘Buro Ole Scheeren’, MahaNakhon has 77 floors and entails houses apartments, bars, restaurants, retail space, and an observation deck.
It is 10 metres taller than ‘Baiyoke Tower II’, the previous tallest skyscraper of Thailand. The illusion of missing pixels from the building gives a hard time to the viewers in believing that the building is actually complete.

The beauty of its design is further accentuated by the colourful lights at night.
