The Internet is suddenly being flooded with photos of many grandmothers. People are sharing the photos of their grandmothers. It initially caught us by surprise. But at last, we have discovered the reason why so many grandma selfies and photos are appearing on the social site.
Celebration of Hilary Clinton’s Nomination
We have now understood the reason behind all this excitement. The Grandmas of every nation are actually celebrating Hilary Clinton’s nomination. Some of the grandmothers whose photos are being shared were born right on the brink of women’s suffrage. Their photos are the proof of their strong support towards Clinton’s presidency.
During the DNC roll call vote, Jerry Emmett, the oldest delegate cast 51 votes for Hilary Clinton. She was born in 1914, when women did not have the right to vote. She narrates her experiences and excitement of the day when her mother had voted for the first time.

Why did the world suddenly remember their grandmother?
Hilary Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president by a major party on Tuesday evening. The watching world took a brief break from their busy life and remembered their grandmothers. The world specially remembered their grandmothers and great grandmothers who would have been thrilled to see this new revolution.
Some even talked about the time, when their grandmothers had fought for voting rights.
