On Wednesday morning, journalist Barkha Dutt tweeted around a misuse crusade that targets her by mass-sharing her mobile number on twitter, filling her inbox and existence with sexual slurs of the most detestable sort.
Here is the actual tweet:

For those who know “Barkha Dutt” only as a tool to be trolled on social media , let me tell you a little more about her. Barkha Dutt is an Indian TV writer and reporter. She fills in as a counseling editorial manager with NDTV. Dutt picked up noticeable quality for her reportage of the Kargil War.Dutt has won numerous national and universal recompenses, including the Padma Shri, India’s fourth most elevated non-military personnel honor.

There may hundreds of reason to not to agree with what she says or thinks but it doesn’t give you ( not literally you, but the one who does so) right to abuse her. It is absolutely filthy, disgusting and unacceptable. There are times when we don’t agree with our own family, neighbors or teachers. Does it mean, we should start hurting or abusing them in public or even in the privacy of the wall?
At least, these working women have the boldness to hold conclusions, to raise questions and to challenge the society. But what are you doing in the vicinity of your room except writing hate messages and abusive comments, just because you are privileged to have a browsing device and the high-speed internet connection? You are not just spoiling your own life but also limiting the power of many others young Indians who have some odd thoughts and weird ideas to change the world.
If you find their ideas worthless, let them know that it’s worthless, but don’t point fingers on then as if they are worthless.
Let’s look at some of your tweets: ( When I say “yours” here, It includes only those people who frequently write hate messages and abuse others on various social networking sites and they do so thinking that they are adding values to the Indian culture )
@_kri5h It’s such a shame you share your name with a God. Your parents must be so proud!

At the end of this post, let me clear one thing. I am not a big fan of Barkha Dutt’s work or even her working style and I do criticize her for some of her deeds or work in the past but I am totally against all kind of public shaming or hatred against anyone. There is always a civilized way to put your words in the front, no matter whether it’s for lovers or for the haters.
