Everything You Should Know About Sukriti Gupta, The CBSE Topper Who Scored 99.4% Marks In Class-12

The wait for over 10 lakh candidates came to an end with the declaration of Class 12th results 2016 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), today. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at Saturday noon announced the much-anticipated results of its Class 12 for the 2016 batch. Sukriti Gupta of Delhi bagged the top spot, with 497 marks out of 500, followed by Palak Goyal from Pehawa (Haryana) at second position. Somya Uppal of Karnal (Haryana) and Ajish Sekar of Chennai shared the third highest position.

A total of 10,67,900 candidates registered for the 12th class CBSE 2016 exam as against 10,40,368 in 2015. The All India topper Sukriti Gupta is the student of Monfort School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi and she scored 99.4 percent marks in this exam. The CBSE class 12th 2016 pass percentage of girls is 88.58% where as among boys the pass percentage is 78.85%.

 1. She is a science student  from Montfort School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi.  In class X CBSE exam , she had scored CGPA 10.

2. She scored 100 marks in Physics and Chemistry and 99 in Mathematics, English and Computer Science.

3. Sukriti Gupta wants to be an engineer and hence preparing for  various engineering examinations. She has already cleared IIT JEE Main and going to appear in the Advance Phase.
4. Her father Rakesh Gupta is an IAS officer

5. According to Rakesh Gupta, Sukriti’s proud father, she is very punctual as a student and never missed a single class. She has been skipping holidays for last two year, just to prepare for the boards.

6. Sukriti had also passed Junior Science Talent Search Examination, 2015 – 16, conducted by the Science brand of the Department of Education of Delhi Government annually and considered quite prestigious in the NCR Region. Her rank was 92 in this exam which took place in January.

7.  Her father thinks that coaching plays a vital role in shaping student’s knowledge and skills, She was taking coaching from Fiitjee Delhi Rohini Centre.
