October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came –
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.”
― George Cooper

Actually, the best idea is to celebrate each month and there are various ways to cherish the 12 different months. Owing to the beautiful weather of fall, October is called the month of poets, authors, painters, musicians etc.
Let me tell you a modest way to celebrate the onset of October.
It’s called the “Inktober” and it started in 2009. Here is everything that you should know about the annual celebration of ink drawing- Inktober :
History and Origin
It was started in 2009 by “Jake Parker” who is a comics short-story creator, concept artist, illustrator, and animator. He started it as a challenge to himself to improve his drawing and inking skills while also encouraging good drawing habits.
What Do We Do In Inktober?
In order to participate in Inktober, all we have to do is draw an ink drawing per day the entire month. We don’t necessarily have to be a professional. Anyone can participate. Either we can draw one ink drawing per day or we can do it on alternate days of the month or we could draw once every week till the end of October.
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it online
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2016
2016 Inktober Topics
Every year the topic list is renewed. The official topic list of Inktober 2016 is as follows :
Learning From The Expert
Jake Parker himself created a class for SVSlearn.com on how to ink. This class is over 2 hours of inking instruction consisting of exercises, techniques, and tips for both the beginners and intermediate artists which will help them in improving their inking game and leveling up.
Sample Arts From Previous Years Inktober Celebrations
Inktober is all about improving and developing positive drawing habits. The key, as they say, is obviously consistency.
