J.K Rowling is shaping this year up to be a good year for Potterheads everywhere. Last month, we were blessed with Rowling’s eighth installment of the ‘Harry Potter’ series in the form of a play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In a few months, we’ll be seeing the first film in J.K Rowling’s new trilogy Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in theaters. But that’s not all! Fans, prepare yourself, J.K. Rowling is granting us several new ‘Harry Potter Books’.
According to The Bookseller, Amazon, Apple’s iBooks store, and Barnes & Noble have listed three new e-books under the heading “Pottermore Presents.”
“The Pottermore Presents series will launch in September and is intended to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining, creatively curated by the Pottermore staff and accessed easily on mobile platforms,” a spokesperson told The Bookseller.
“We also recognize that not all Harry Potter fans who want to read more about the wizarding world visit pottermore.com so we’ve developed Pottermore Presents to reach those fans through other channels.”
Behold the newest J.K. Rowling creations:
- Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics, and Pesky Poltergeists: The first book supposedly gives us “a glimpse into the darker side of the wizarding world.” We’ll learn the truth about Professor Umbridge and how Horace Slughorn met Tom Marvolo Riddle (Voldemort).
- Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship, and Dangerous Hobbies: The second books delve more into the stories of Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. We’ll also get more insight into Sybill Trelawney’s life. And, apparently, we’ll “encounter the reckless, magical-beast-loving Silvanus Kettleburn along the way.
- Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide: The last book promises to take you on a journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You’ll venture into the Hogwarts, learn more about lessons and discover secrets of the castle, all at the turn of a page.
We don’t even have to wait that long for the books. The three new e-books can be yours starting September 8th! Let the countdown begin. YAAYYY!
